Students Receive Awards for Final Projects

It brings us great pleasure to announce that our students have received awards in the ICT Thesis Contest 2019

  • Aleks-Daniel Jakimenko-Aleksejev: Best thesis in MSc Hardware and Systems category and Special prize from AS Cybernetica for the thesis ''Automated Camera Motion Control System for Rhythmic Gymnastics'', supervisors Siavoosh Payandeh Azad and Kristina Vassiljeva.
  • Marjana Voronina: Best thesis in MSc Software category for the thesis ''Automated Camera Motion Control for Rhythmic Gymnastics Using Deep Learning'', supervisor Kristina Vassiljeva.
  • Vjatšeslav Tšetšnev: Special prize in BSc Hardware and Systems category for the thesis ''Short-Term Load Forecasting Using Artificial Neural Network'', supervisors Eduard Petlenkov and Margarita Spitšakova.
  • Jorma Rebane: Special prize in BSc Software category for the thesis ''3D kraana virtuaalse füüsikalise mudeli loomine Unreal Engine keskkonnas'', supervisors Eduard Petlenkov and Aleksei Tepljakov.

A-Lab Student Receives Award for Final Project

It brings us great pleasure to announce that Alpha Control Lab's Andrei Maalberg has received the best thesis award in the ICT Thesis Projects Contest of 2018 for his Master's thesis entitled “SpaceWire to SPI Bridge in VHDL for Microsemi ProASIC3E FPGA” in two categories:

  • Best thesis in Hardware and Systems category;
  • Special prize: AS Cybernetica Scholarship.
